Sony Alpha A58 | DSLR 20MP Camera | Features | Specifications | Price Posted: 10 May 2013 09:38 AM PDT Sony has announced the Alpha SLT-A58, a mid-range SLT camera with a newly-developed 20.1MP sensor. The A58 will replace both the A37 and A57 models, helping to simplify the company's lineup. The A58 builds on the A57's feature set and gains an SVGA (800x600 pixel) OLED viewfinder, rather than its predecessors' LCDs. It gains a new lock-on focus mode and Auto Object Framing mode - an extension of the auto portrait mode in the A57. It will be sold with a redesigned DT 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 SAM II kit lens that offers quieter autofocus. The camera is not being launched in the USA at this point. It has a 2.7-inch, tilting display and supports 1080p HD video recording. At launch it's available for around £500, Rs. 35K to 37K. The Sony Alpha A58 DSLT features a new 20.1 megapixel Exmor APS-C CMOS sensor, with ISO100 to ISO16000, and an improved BIONZ image processing engine for detailed, low-noise photos. The camera includes SteadyShot INSIDE, which moves the sensor to counter-act any camera shake. SONY ALPHA A58 SPECIFICATIONS : ↓
